Note that some builds in this list will be similar to others or you have thought of this build already. Great minds think alike ;)
1. Ninetales
Nature : Timid
EVs : 252 SpA/252 Spe/6 Hp
Ability : Drought(Hidden)
Item : Air Balloon
Moveset :
-Nasty Plot
-Sunny Day
-Flamethrower/Fire Blast
-Solarbeam
I chose Sunny Day because ability weathers have a turn limit now in gen. 6. You'll never know if you can get another opportunity to get back the sun.
The tactic is simple, Set up a nasty plot at first turn, then pick an attacking move that deals massive damage on your opponent. I personally used flamethrower instead of Fire Blast because I don't want to take risks and besides that, a Nasty plot and Drought boosted flamethrower can OHKO almost anything that doesn't resist it. I play Ninetales as a Special Sweeper.
2. Heracross
Nature : Adamant
EVs : 252 Atk/252 Spe/6 Hp
Ability : Moxie(Hidden)
Item : Choice Scarf
Moveset :
-Close Combat
-Megahorn
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
This is pretty easy to understand. Choice Scarf increases your speed by 50% so you are most likely to hit first than your opponent. Set Heracross to have a K.O. to get a moxie buff. If there's an opponent's pokemon in low health, make sure Heracross gets it. With a moxie buff you are almost unstoppable. This buff will continue to stack as you K.O. your opponents pokemon one-by-one. Choose the right move then Sweep!
3. Donphan
Nature : Impish
EVs : 252 Hp/88 Def/170 SpD
Ability : Sturdy
Item : Rocky Helmet
Moveset :
-Stealth Rock
-Rapid Spin
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
Donphan is a bulky pokemon that can also set up Stealth Rocks. I chose the ability sturdy to secure setting up rocks even if a powerful super-effective move hits Donphan. Rapid spin is to counter other entry-hazard setters. Rocky Helmet is for powerful physical sweepers that needs to be shut-down especially that Red Bird Talonflame. Yes, Donphan is a hard counter for talonflame. Set up rocks in Talonflame's face while its setting a swords dance. Endure every hit talonflame gives with rocky helmet until talonflame becomes cornered upon switching out(death on switching in because of rocks) or try to trade damage with your stone edge and rocky helmet.
4. Cloyster
Nature : Adamant
EVs : 252 Atk/252 Spe/6 Hp
Ability : Skill Link
Item : White Herb
Moveset :
-Shell Smash
-Rock Blast
-Icicle Spear
-Razor Shell
This cute little Shellfish destroyed a lot of teams single-handedly... I MEAN IT!
Set up a Shell Smash and just make sure that Cloyster lives with what the opposing pokemon throws at it and you're done. Though there are some ways to counter Cloyster, it is still troublesome and most of the time it just destroys everything in his way. With the boosts that Shell Smash gives and the Ability Skill link, Rock Blast and Icicle spear can become so deadly.
5. Durant
Nature : Jolly
EVs : 252 Hp/252 Spe/6 SpD
Ability : Truant(Hidden)
Item : Focus Sash
Moveset :
-Entrainment
-Thunder Wave
-Swagger
-Iron Head(I don't know what to put anymore)
I play Durant as a support for the team. He just needs to use entrainment to apply Truant to an opposing pokemon and his job is done. Durant can combo-break sweepers that needs setting up like Blaziken or Talonflame. It can also help your sweeper in various ways like making the opponent switch out because of the annoying truant as you set you sweeper in.
6. Politoed
Nature : Bold
EVs : 252 Hp/252 Def/6 SpA
Ability : Drizzle(Hidden)
Item : Leftovers
Moveset :
-Scald
-Toxic
-Protect
-Encore
Politoed is best at stalling opponents. Politoed can encore sweepers that needs to set to make the opponent trainer have a forced switch out. It can toxic/protect stall walls. It can even burn physical threats with a rain boosted Scald. There are a lot of possibilities that can be done and by far, for me, Politoed is one of the walls that can stall out there.
7. Talonflame
Nature : Adamant
EVs : 252 Hp/252 Atk/6 Spe
Ability : Gale Wings(Hidden)
Item : Sitrus Berry
Moveset :
-Swords Dance
-Acrobatics/Brave Bird
-Flare Blitz
-Roost
Talonflame is pretty easy to understand. I chose sitrus berry to secure a set-up of swords dance as long as the opposing pokemon didn't OHKO talonflame. Once the sitrus berry is eaten, Talonflame will be dealing massive damage with Acrobatics. You can also use brave bird but I don't like recoils that much so its best to put it only as an option. Take note that Roost is a flying type move so take the ability gale wings to an advantage.
I will soon update more competitive Pokemon Builds! If you have questions, feel free to post a comment. If you have your own Pokemon builds that you want me to post with your name on it then e-mail me at fatgamer1208@gmail.com. Stay tune for more!
